The puzzles published on this page are created by Thareen Jayaratne (Ruchith ), my elder son who is an advanced level (English Medium) student of Bandaranayake Central College (Boys') Gampaha, Sri Lanka. He is also a past pupil of Negombo South International School, Nittambuwa, Sri Lanka. He is engaged in creating puzzles as a pastime. 

I found that his simple puzzles could be useful to anyone: for the student as well as the teacher. It is an interesting way to put one's knowledge of vocabulary on to test. To the English language learner, an attempt at a puzzle once a week could be a challenge which brings in happiness at the end. It is an aged old pastime of some educated people. 

Thareen creates them under my supervision to suit all age levels. I invite all the teachers to let their students try out a puzzle at least once a week.
