General English New Syllabus: Activities based on the AL General English Paper for teachers and students.

πŸ‘‰A word from the blogger

Dear teachers and students,

I decided to publish this blog page on request of thousands of teachers and students who have been using my blog pages for the last decade.

I had been a General English paper marker for 15 years from the very introduction of the General English paper by the Department of Education. I also had the privilege to be a member of the General English marking team , numbered 800 , selected by the Department of Examination through a competitive examination. This paved the way for me to attend different workshops and seminars organized by the Department.

The Old Syllabus Paper which was handled by most renowned lecturer Prof. Nagasundaram ( retired ) was a standard and tough paper than the present one introduced under the new syllabus. She made great efforts to maintain the standard of the paper. I got the opportunity to attend several workshops organized by Mrs. Nagasundaram.

The activities I am publishing here ( as time permits me ) are free and can be used in your classrooms. I am preparing them keeping to the General English New Syllabus paper.

For essays and graphs you can visit my widely used blog pages by simply typing in the search bar.

I have good news for you, too. I have prepared a General English Practice Paper Book as I had noted here early. An overview of the Practice Paper Book is given below for your perusal. You can get down the book to your home or college cash on delivery.

The book has been compiled in such a way that if you are a teacher you can easily use them in your classroom. The activities  for each question type have been grouped into sets. The book can also be used as a self-study guide.

          πŸ‘‰πŸ’“To all:

It may take several hours or sometimes even a few days for granting access to the papers you request to download. I kindly request you to bear with the delay. Don't give up hopes. Check your e-mails for permission.
