What is a phrasal verb? 

Dear readers, 

When two or three words are used together to form one meaning, this combination is called a phrasal verb. 

The meaning of a phrasal verb is completely different from the meaning of the individual words that go into make them. 

    e.g. come + round       - get well. 

           turn + down         - reject 

'A phrasal verb' consist of a verb + preposition or an adverb. 

A phrasal verb cannot be understood easily. They are usually used in spoken English. As learners of English you must have a fair knowledge of phrasal verbs.
