* When you speak of something for the first time use the indefinite articles "a" / "an" and when you speak of the same person or thing for the second time use the definite article "the". 'an' is used before words starting with a vowel sound.

     She is in the garden. 
(This means she is in your garden)
3. I met a boy. The boy was eating an ice cream. 
4. Ravi wrote a poem. The poem was beautiful. 
5. I watched a cartoon. The cartoon was about a small girl.
